Happy Kartini Day!

Such a great time with our friends from International Avenue BRZ and the wonderful guest of the #aroundtheworldin35blocksfoodtour Celebrating Indonesia's National #KartiniDay during this months International Avenue BRZ food tour! Today we honor Kartini, the first women in Indonesia to address women's right and equality. The women whom our wonderful owner is named after.

This month Kartini Head Chef/Owner accompanied by Lina Esesseo Former President of the Calgary Indonesian Social Club demonstrated how to make Nasi Goreng (Fried Rice) as well as sharing some culture and history about Indonesia and Ibu Kartini. Thank you to everyone who came out to the food tour, and a special thanks to the guest who volunteer help prepare the food in our cooking demonstration.
